  • Thank you, Glad to share good news! On top of that, I just found out Jeff Clyne-led band Turning Point, has had both their albums reissued to a double CD on Vocalian! "Creatures of the Night" (from 1976-7) and the follow-up "Silent Promise" (1978) are available as a 'two-fer'. I have both albums and it's lovely stuff!

  • And that gum you like is going to come back in style. Seriously though that is good news!

  • Not fair they were contemporaries. Similar style though.

  • Derek Bailey clone??

  • Good News! The 5-CD Blue Notes box set just released on Ogun: "Blue Notes for Mongezi" which sounds fantasticly clear from the old LP I have of it. Also, "...in Concert" sounds great, as well as "Live in South Africa 1964" and "Blue Notes for Johnny". Nice booklet too. Nice box set!

Also, Chris McGregor's Septet (Blue Notes really) "Very Urgent", "Up to Earth", and now "Little Prayer" are all on CDs!

  • great musicians

  • great stuff.

  • I..... well, don't laugh - someday this will be like William Shatner's album that flopped and sucked and no one would buy, but today everyone wants to find a copy.
