Michael Parker/Johnnie Maxwell

"All For Not"

(Verse 1)
I find no shame on the modern face,
for the things they no longer hide.
The machine creaks with all but grace,
the mechanism of the modern mind.

(Verse 2)
Wielding fires that cannot contain,
in the palm of the mortal hand.
Raising tides just to fall in vain,
washing out to sea the will of man.

(Chorus)
Very hard to distinguish between friend and foe,
in a world that would preach that blood makes the grass grow.
The unrest will attest to what your lips confess.
They think best to digest ways to dismiss this mess.

(Verse 3)
I find no depth in the modern gaze,
through the shallow pupils of their eyes.
Counting down each remaining day,
until they crystallize their own demise.

(Chorus)
Very hard to distinguish between friend and foe,
in a world that would preach that blood makes the grass grow.
The unrest will attest to what your lips confess.
They think best to digest ways to dismiss this mess.

  • This tune is sick as hell

This is the REAL shit <3

Could use a bit louder vox and a pinch more bass, but its a demo.

Major props! it wont be long before everyone knows about you guys.

You have a huge fan right here already.

  • @rebeljohn08 yea. this is my favorite song so far. it will be worthy as hell on the studio versoin =)

  • Johnnie I think it sounds great !!! I'd sure like to lay a drum beat down to that !!! LOL Cant wait to hear more !!!!

  • @doublenac where are you from?????

  • Sounds good. Would like to hear a bit more on the vocals. The crispness of the instruments on the beats drowns out the verbage a bit... I am sure the final copy will rock.

  • @cynthiaheldreth that was recorded in a house, on a mediocore computer. =) tyvm for your comment. when its recorded the right way. it will be much better. it needs real drums to

  • @rebeljohn08 Nope. Not that I am aware of, but hang tight and we will have more sooner or later.

  • Do you guys have any other songs uploaded than the 3 I have seen?

  • @doublenac This is Mr. J.R Gann! We have played many times. We played clubs back in the day for along time with my Uncle Gary Epperley back in 1994-1996, and have played together a few times for different gigs and jams since. He is a great drummer with a killer set of drums, I just didnt know if he still played much anymore or if he worked too much or too far away pipe lining to make time for it.

  • From LAMAR, OK !! Bout 16 miles east of Holdenville !! Ive known Johnnie since he was a lil bitty kid ! LOL I've played music with him several times !!!!!!!

  • @rebeljohn08 Its sick? Thanks, I think..... =P

We will try to get the vocals up in the mix as well as the bass guitar.

This was done at home, and if you saw the equipment that was used, you would probably laugh. Thanks for being a fan! I saw where you asked about getting the mp3s of our music posted on another song. Myself, or Parker, will make sure you have a copy of the music if you want. Money isnt necessary. You can pay by telling everyone you know about us. =)
