@TDLBallistic It's more like it's what's popular right now. Two years ago, Hetalia was the biggest thing ever, before that was Bleach, then Naruto, etc. etc. Homestuck will probably be big for a while, but I imagine once the comic is actually finished (if Hussie ever lets that happen) the groups will die down significantly as other fandoms become more active.

@lenandrinmegafan Otakon is held in Baltimore every summer. Truth be told, you could probably go to ANY major anime/comic convention now and be surrounded by Homestucks everywhere.
