Length of time is a subjective thing;what do you consider long? It could take months or more or less. It depends on the birds personality. Sometimes they like to practice talking when nobody else is around, like a "closet talker". It's almost like they're afraid to open up in front of people....or not. It really depends on your parrots personality and the realtionship you have with your parrot, Patience is very important, as well as a fun attitude, peppered with lots of love!

Maxi is saying Wop wop wop. Sometimes she says "Drop it like it's hot", but not that time.

Yep, good eyes! That's me and Maxi, on the other side is a picture of me holding Kia, and right above Maxi's cage is Maxi and Jaared, a male Ekkie that lived with me for awhile.
