@ArmpitNoises Ha ha! thats fucked man. Back in australia its similar story. I love working as a helper, lifting bins manual is the way to go. i get mad rush even i finish the route on time i still want to go so i just meet up with other collugues on the other side of suburbs and help them out. I am only 6weeks away from a truck permit once i have that i am able to move back to Canada and hopefully work in the waste industries in ON or QC My goal is to go USA. FRANCE & England for this job.

@chipicau24 Its more complicated than that. Some companies are dodgy. Some dont look after there trucks and some dont look after there employee. Some who are newly contracted lose there jobs and get it back but with certain percentage loss on there salary pay.

This looks like you need basic big truck driving skills and some video game skills for operating the controls. Any 18 year old can do this.

It seems the driver in the vid goes through a set of brake pads every month the way he drives.

I'd be far too efficient at their job. I'd work too quickly and I'd put in a full 8 hour day. They'd hate me because I'd make them look lazy. I know how these Union workers do their jobs. I worked in the parks dept for T.O. through high school. My boss would sleep in his truck for three hours while I worked.

That is in large, wide spread areas. Ever been downtown? where we do not have the luxury of large wide driveways? Where they have to get out and drag it to the truck? ever been to a transfer station? for more than 20 minutes? How about you do their job for 1 day before you start the bad mouthing. The people of Toronto are the MOST ungrateful and incapable people ever.
