Pelican is great. Tool is great. Their different kinds of bands, different genres. Both have a way of transcending, in my opinion, but they are still different. I love them both, for different reasons. This is a fantastic song.

@Leiryn couple of similarities, both bands have long ass songs, both bands have a heard bass "unlike most other bands, their basses can be heard", both have a heavy distorted guitar and bass to make it sound muffled, and of coarse, both are good bands,their might be more, but this is all i can say 4 now...

If you listened to Godflesh, you would know that the drummer is copying their drum machine style. In fact, much of their style is very Godflesh/Swans influenced.

I don't get why their drummer gets so much crap for being bad. I think his playing is tasteful and fits with the music perfect. not too busy or trying to be anything more than complimentary to the over all sound

Shellac, Isis, Battles, Jesu, me asombraron gratamente y al instante de escucharlas me di cuenta que nunca jamás dejarían de gustarme. Ahora sucede otra vez, con esta banda que es una maravilla... Pelican... espectacular. No se que les parecerá a ustedes, yo creo que son sensacionales... toda la intensidad que transmiten con su música me transporta a sitios fascinantes...
