Photo essay - documentary accross the streets of Tokyo during the last days of 2008 and the first days of 2009...

During the first days of the year called "oshogatsu" (お正月, new year's holidays), Japanese usually leave old year's worries and troubles behind and look at the future with trust and enthousiasm.

But in december 2008, with the financial crisis that started few weeks ago and that strongly affected Japan, these secular traditions are quite hard to follow.
