Protecting intellectual property be it a Logo, product name or the reputation of a company is very important, and should never be taken lightly. Take other compnaies to task for infrigment is not being critical, but rather an exrcise in that right. Thank you for the well wishes on my invention. Cheers

It is true and we can appreciate your concern about "infringements" in general. There are many companies who just copy the work of others without doing any R&D and we are glad you had the courage to ask us about it. As a manufacturer, we shy away from taking other manufacturers to task, as it would look like we were being critical of them to make ourselves look better. We don't do that. Good luck with your invention!

As an inventor myself (baseball Hitting Trainig Aid) Patent Pending. I look out for possible infrigments. If what you say is true then I pubilcly stand corrected.

Consider yourself corrected. Frank Rush is "happy" to be able to use the name. We own the common trademark and had our PILOT in distribution two years before Tiffen announced they were planning on making their Pilot. We had a sit down meeting at NAB with Frank and Garret where we decided to let them use the name as long as "Steadicam" was used with it. We made this decision because of our respect for Garret and all his work in developing the steadicam. Again, they are happy about it.
Have you used this brand or the Flycam?

@bestamerica What do you mean "tooo heavy"? I agree it would be too heavy to use for any length of time in handheld configuration without the support system. With the support arm etc. it is very easy and comfortable to operate for great lengths of time. We once shot a three hour stage presentation (rehersal) with only one 15 minute break. Even though it was tiring, it wasn't that tiring.

@citydriver The two shots show how much a 3-axis gimbal improves the smoothness of the shot. The video was shot on full telephoto to exaggerate the movement but if it's smooth at full telephoto, think how smooth it will be in wide angle. The 3-axis gimbal (Indicam) does help to take away the up and down as well as the side to side movement.
