John Francis "Sleepers Awake" by J.S. Bach BWV 140 Solo Guitar

John Francis performs his arrangement of "Sleepers Awake" by Johann Sebastian Bach on December 31, 2011 on solo classical guitar at Chained Sky Studios in Wichita, Kansas. This church cantata is also known as "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme." It was written in Leipzig for the 27th Sunday after Trinity. It was first performed on November 25, 1731. It has been catalogued as BWV 140. It has since been arranged for many different instruments and settings.

John is playing a Loriente "Sofia" classical guitar with spruce top.
