This is just INSANE David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen were a brilliant Rock n Roll tag team they had a big following at Sydney Australia when this was released .

I did this tune in the last cover band I was in back in 1984. Was a favorite. I remember listening to it for the first time in 1978 when I was a freshman in High School. I was blown away. Went out and bought the 8-track tape and let it play on a continuous loop every day when I was home.

My mom bought this album for me in 1978. We get home and dad says 'hey, let's hear what you got there.' About 1 minute into Running With The Devil, dad swats at the air dimissively and says, 'ugh turn that off.' Flash forward about five years to the Diver Down tour. My friends and I desperately want to see the Mighty VH at the L.A. Forum. My dad volunteers to take us. Even though he hates the music. What a guy. After the show, dad says, 'you know I have to admit that guy can really play guitar.'

Van Halen ended when David Lee Roth left. I remember my Mom asking what was wrong one night at dinner. I told her DLR had left Van Halen and she just looked at me like a dog being shown a card-trick.... But my dad who used to listen to Van Halen with me every morning in the car as he drove me to school, with a genuinely sympathetic look on his face, said "I can't believe it. I'm sorry pal. We can still listen to them in the car though right?" For a man born in 1935, that is AWESOME!
