This song haunted me for years, no, decades. I was in my first year studying in Sta.Clara Pasay City. I can't describe how this song made such an impact on me, I silently cry wishing somehow I get to listen to it again when I grew old. Only through youtube was I able to listen to it again. I'm in my mid 30s now, not very successful but am still counting my blessings. Thanks for posting
Just stumbled upon this version, previously only being aware of the Marvelettes' version. I'm not so young anymore and having fallen in and out of love many times myself, this version still brought a lump to my throat. Hope springs eternal I guess....... and yes, the Jets did "bring it over." Thank you for posting!
The Jets are the one who sang this in 1988,I have been searching their album for a CD copy but was unsuccessful until I found this, this song reminded me of lots of happy memories,I know the man in this picture was a teenager in the BAGETS era.I graduated in high school in 1989.Thank you very much wendellc93.
I got here after listening to Ralph Carter singing it on good times and on soul train
