The story of George A.P. Bridgetower, the African Prince, child prodigy and virtuoso violinist from the Kingdom of Poland. Born in the late 18th century this son of an African father and a Polish mother was the toast of Europe and had, among his most avid benefactors, the princes of England and Poland. The title comes from the dedication of one of Beethoven's most famous works of music, which was originally dedicated to Bridgetower.
