Pete Townshend - Street In The City

Street in the city is a lovely little track.
Written by Pete Townshend. Taken from the "Rough Mix" album.
Pete was asked by Ronnie Lane if he could produce his next album.
But when the pair got together in the studio it turned into a full collaboration.
Even John Entwistle was asked to place his skills on two tracks.

The record hit stores and shops in September of 1977.
This track always stood out for me on the record.
So I have edited a video for the song.
I have used three other Pete promos and stuck them altogether.

Pete's vocals on this song are sweet as ever.
You can't help but let out a little sigh. When he hits the notes
on the lines....
"I watch as fleet street makes new heroes rise and fall."
