CPL Summer 2003 - 3D vs 4K

3D over 4K in double overtime

19-17 (8-4; 4-8 -- OT: 0-3; 3-0; 1-2; 3-0)


One of the most exciting games from this tournament. The British 4Kings faced American powerhouse Team 3D on mill. After regular time the score was 12-12 and the game went into overtime. Unfortunately the last overtime demo randomly crashes so i can only guess what the final score was, but it must have been 3-0 so the final score would be 19-17 for 3D. (The demo crashes at 1-0 for 3D in a 3on3 Situation where 3D has the upper hand because they have mp5s while 4K is saving.) Plus 3D would later finish third behind SK and team9 at this CPL, so they couldn't have lost this. One of the last overtimes also starts in the end of the second round where moto had a chance to win the eco round for 3D.
There is a very famous clutch round in this match by Bullseye where he wins a 1on3 with deagle to keep 3D alive, 4K only needed this one round to win. (They would have won 16-13 but Morgan made it 15-14 and eventually 3D came out on top 19-17.) Maybe it wasn't a smart move to camp out the pistol round as T by 4K (they were leading 15-12 at that time). But then again the CTs were moneyscrewed and their plan would have worked if it wasn't for Bullseye ;)
