  • And last thing; I am also from Trabzon...

  • I proud of my nation. I also love greek culture and greek people. Except our religion and languages our behaviors, minds and cultures are totally same. So what is that idiot discussion here?

  • As it has been developed and kept alive by both culture this should make as closer not enemies. I can not believe in this stupid discussion. I do not feel any hostility against greek, rather i feel very close feelings as we love similar melodies. An english can not understand your melodies my greek friends. They never feel sad when they listen to your melodies but we do. And you are feeling sad with our melodies. Because many of your popular songs are turkish origin. arent they?

  • does not matter whether it is Turkish or Greek origin. Do you know why? Because this dance is much more than this kind of stupid discussion. It deserves appreciation. It is not possible to argue that it belongs to only Greeks or Turkish. Because you can not see this dance in Grece or another part of Turkey. You can see some close melodies and figures but not totally same. I think this dance belongs to both cultures. Because both culture developed it. Does not matter its origin.

  • i also think that our cultures resemble each other

and i hate all these discussions !

    afferim böyle usaklara cok yakismis!

    kurban olaym size :)

  • There is no need for discussion

the "horon" played in turkey is TURKISH!!!!!!!

and the "horon" played in greece is GREEK

    where is the problem????

nobody has to take possession of this wonderfull dance!!!!

  • the word 'horon' is greek my friend....very old word from ancients years. the reality is at the midle.

this dance is very old greek dance, but this people are not greeks all of them. some of them are greek-pontians, but some of them are turks or georgian or laz or...who knows. things changes...but the culture is the same for many many years. we bring this culture here and you also keep it there. it is not bad. i dont care about religion...but we have same culture and this is so nice... tesk :)
