Johny O'Donnell of New Zealand is a seventeen year old advocate for youth engagement and the co-founder of Students Against Violence Everywhere.

Johny speaks of the perceived normalcy of violence and how serious the effects are on young people. Above all, he tells how the violence is passed on from one generation to the next and how this cycle must be broken. He invites us to step up and make a difference.

The national organization SAVE was created after he and others witnessed the effects of violence on fellow students. The purpose of the organization is to promote peace and non-violence in homes, schools, and communities. SAVE also encourages youth leadership and community involvement.

Johny was interviewed and filmed by Raincrow Film LLC and StopSpanking.org where he was a featured speaker at the Global Summit on Ending Corporal Punishment and Promoting Positive Discipline in Dallas, Texas in June of 2011.
