A look at our place in the Universe. An edited version, taken from the award winning TV series "Cosmos", by American Astronomer, Carl Sagan.

Here we look at our place in the Universe, and find that we are in no way, the center of our Universe, ...we are not even the center of our own galaxy, the Milky Way;....nor our own solar system.

It is only a delusion, to kid ourselves that the stars rise and set for us. That we are the reason there is a Universe.

I believe Carl Sagan said it best when he says "The Universe is not suppose to be in perfect harmony with human ambition."

Carl Edward Sagan was an American astronomer and astrochemist and a highly successful popularizer of astronomy, astrophysics, and other natural sciences. He is world-famous for writing popular science books and for co-writing and presenting the award-winning 1980 television series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, which has been seen by more than 600 million people in over 60 countries, making it the most widely watched PBS program in history.

If I had the chance to learn from Carl in a science class. I would be the happiest human being ever.

You could either keep it meaningless, or let other authority figure give meaning to it, or give your life meaning yourself.

Knowing that God does not exist makes me feel that life is meaningless.

I just explained the time didn't exist before the big bang. So eternity doesn't exist. Try again.

Whatever is stable and immutable in its essence cannot accept movement and change within that essence.

How do deluded and duped atheists, who believe that matter is accompanied by its antithesis, justify the eternity of matter/energy?

It didn't have a cause. Time didn't exist before the big bang so it's impossible for anything to have created it. Including god. You can't go back before the beginning.

So basically, you declare by fiat that the question "what caused god" doesn't have to be answered.

    ____

    Nope!

We say, then, that the existence of a thing is not possible without a cause of a deficient thing, that is, whose fate is in the hands of its cause and whose permanence is dependent on the existence of its cause. This does not apply to a being that is conscious of its reality and exhibits no trace of defect and limitation.

His Existence is not coming into Being from non-existence.

So I declare by fiat that the question "what caused the universe" doesn't have to be answered.

    Let's call it a draw.
