The production of the Tiger or Panzer VI was detrimental to the Third Reich. The tank is powerful but this is countered by it's complexity, lack of reliability, costs, and fuel comsumption. It would have been wiser to produce more Panzer V(Panther) or more Panzer IV tanks. The Germans are remarkable engineers but this resulted in their folly. Now it's the opposite with the automobile industry and etc.

You don't have to be a 'Nazi worshipper' to recognise historical facts and truths. The Tiger tank was an awesome weapon and had a very high kill ratio, didn't break down nearly as much as post war revisionists would have us believe.
