  • i just found out my friend has diabetes... pray for her .. :.( <3

  • @lala567ize It's not a death sentence and if she's older it's not the type of diabetes I have. I do hope she manages it well though.

  • Contact your medical insurance company and Minimed. I didn't pay for mine as my insurance covered it.

  • I was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 4 months ago and i was looking at pumps, I was thinking of getting the animas one touch ping but how do you like this pump?

  • @loungo1567 I tried to reply a month ago. Right now I'm loving it. It's modern. The interface with the meter is great but I've got 3 other meters and entering info is just fine too. I don't have the CGM component, but I've heard good things about it. Overall, I like it. The infusion unit is buggy when filling it (bubble-o-rama), but you get a feel for it after awhile.

  • This is also known as the Minimed Paradigm Veo in Australia and the UK.. Would get one but the sensors for the CGM are expensive

  • @bReNtOs1236 You're right. They're expensive here too. The key here is to be in a medical program that covers the cost. I'm working on it. I've got coverage for the pump and the supplies, but I don't think I get CGM. I've not pushed for it yet because I'm still just getting used to having this new pump.

  • I have had diabetes for 1 year and I am 12. I really want to get a pump. Watch my other videos

  • @expatjane thx.. and yeah i know its not a death sentence but i never expected for her have it.. and the sad part is..she hasnt even told me i had to find out on my own..she rrlly is a good person and one of my new good friends and it was just terrible to find out she had it..but anways thanx :D

  • @Sasquatch1197 sorry, a typo!

  • @Sasquatch1197 - OmniPod allows for 0.05 unit increments. 0.5 would be a problem.

  • @erikyt2 There are many companies out there trying to compete with Omnipod. The holdup is the FDA. They have a new director who is very careful about approving new devices etc. (This is according to my daughter's endochrinologist.) We are switching from Omnipod to this new pump. The disadvantage to the Omnipod is that it only allows .5 increments, which is just not working for my daughter. We need tighter control. Hope this helps.

  • When are they going to make a patch pump? 5 different colors, wow.

  • @ToniTugalic1 : can you tell me where did you get it? My insurance won't cover it and thinking of buying out of my own pocket...
