I can't believe some people were so sick and twisted that they did this to children!And who is so disgusting they would pay to see a child raped and blinded by acid?I love this song but it's really sad.

This was actually based on real events. During the edo period in japan, children would be taken to circuses and deformed, and if they disobeyed any orders, they would have acid poured on their faces. They would be a spectacle, and be laughed at. The ringmaster would even rape them in front of the audience, at times. The rotten fruit is the raping, and the flowers are the flesh and acid.

I just found this out..I'm scared yet still love the song.
