This is so awesome. Ya'll are right...the military background he has makes it so much more powerful. The best part is that he wasn't showy...he didn't try to hit a bunch of crazy notes to show off his range or his voice...he just sang...and it was truly beautiful.

To me, what made this even more touching is knowing he's a marine (or was). Amazing singer and I pulled for him on idol the year he was on....I cried when he got the boot. <3 him! :)

@griffis180 Always loved Josh Gracin. He is so down to earth as well, meet him backstage at a concert here in Florida. Will always be my favorite from Idol.

Oh. My. Gosh. This is now my favorite cover of the National Anthem. Carrie's was my fav til now. Knowing that he's a former Marine gives it even more meaning... IMO, anyways. He has so much control, just absolutely beautiful, Josh! :)

I love listening to him. he did a great job. I remember watching this on tv and being sooo excited to hear him sing and be known. watching again. gives me chills.

His pitch was right on. Why isn't he as well known? He's way better than Taylor Swift, Miley, Jonas Brother etc. put together.
