@nojyt Maybe we speak English/Russian Cyrillic? I have no clue?

@nojyt My bad. Just thought. Very difficult to get my point across with you not hearing my voice. Nothing more. ? for me is nothing more than asking a question. My apologies for being confusing, I mean not.

@superunt43 I think what's confusing me about all your posts is the question marks (?) in place of commas or periods. It makes it very hard to understand your point.

@nojyt No kidding. Monumental achievements they remain. Russia got to space first, and? Russia does remote flight compared to none, and? May I offer, shuttle did do it all with 2 failures? If memory serves what % of failure is this going to space, returning intact? Not being a smart-ass here just observing, nothing more.

@nojyt Thought you might respond in that manner?
-
@superunt43 Huh?

@bombarderoazul this world sure is strange. man i need to do some traveling.
The Soyuz is a good 15 years older than the Shuttle, so the age argument is moot. Yes, the Shuttle has more capabilities in terms of cargo space, but Soyuz's cargo deficiencies are easily made up by just firing a cargo rocket alongside. NASA has learned this, as its shuttle replacement program proves. A vehicle that tries to do everything usually doesn't do anything as well as it could.
Aside from all that, we should stop comparing. The shuttle and soyuz are both huge achievements of mankind.
