Before I start my ramble I first have this to say.
If you are suffering that intolerable pain of Achalasia or the unpredictably of Gastroparesis and it's pain, or even just a bit interested in our rare conditions, why not click on this link?
It may just help change your life.
We are a real group of everyday people suffering either one or both dreadful diseases. We offer information both professional and personal. Support. A place to vent. And a place where people really do understand. One thing we promise at Facebook Achalasia and Gastroparesis, you will never feel or be alone again.

Now on with my other stuff.

It's the morning of day 3.I have had no sleep. I am all stuffed up in my head and nose.My body aches terribly.I am still sneezing like crazy. My eyes are all puffy and watery.I still feel 'fluey'. That's not even a good word to describe withdrawls. It's nothing like the flu!
To add to my misery I still have chest pain from last night.
And it's Saturday so it's my son and my day to do something special. And I have to act like I feel fantastic in public when I feel like death.

  • i am sorry but you should b in a hosp it can kill wach out and i am sorry for you i will soon start my detox from 100mg methadon in jail with no help or pitty and i am scared to death really good luck did you try going down slow not all at 1 time

  • @sertox12345 I have tried WD slowly but then became inpatient & just stopped.

I am so sorry you are going to have to go through WD's in jail. But Jails DO have a responsibility by Law to look after your health whilst your with them,Including monitoring & treating someone who is WDing.

Please let me know how you go.

  • god how can you do it. i cant even start the first day. I just cant. every time i try it hurts so bad. How you made it three whole days is amazing. does the unhappiness from not having it ever go away?

  • @thedarkesthole No.3 years later I still feel so great being off pain meds all the time.If it wasn't for my Neurostimulator though i would still be on those meds.

I STILL HAVE PAIN everyday,I have even had to ring an ambulance sometimes because I am buckled up in pain.BUT being like that is so much better for me than on those meds.Having to have a dose though once a month or something works,of course,so better than every day.

Withdrawal is very much worth the insaniity & pain it causes.

  • I've had withdrawls from opiates AND benzodiazapines (Xanax specifically) and the opiate withdrawls were a WALK IN THE PARK compared to benzo withdrawls and lasted 1/3 of the time.

Do not FUCK with Xanax it will own you.

  • @WiseInfant Benzo withdrawals are DEADLY.Are you still off them?

I worry when someone at work is started on Xanax, which is rare over here. But does happen.

You are TOTALLY correct about Xanax.

  • Smoke weed/hash better then a synthetic heroin addiction!

  • @Azreal93 I'm a tough nut. Stubburn to the core. I get it from my mum.

And yes I knew this pain and suffering were for a short period of time and then it would be over.

AND it was WORTH EVERY SECOND to come out the other end feeling better than I have done in years.

  • i was hooked on pain pills for 10 years, i couldnt stand the thought of waking up sick in withdrawls every morning, i was taking around 40 pills a day of percocet 10's and around 160mg oxycontin thru an iv, i been to detox centers regulary for 2 years, finally the put me on something called suboxone, it is a wonder drug, it takes the withdrawls away period, you feel great and dont even want a pill, check into it, when you come off suboxones the withdrawls aint no where near as bad as a pill is

  • @Lennybrucelee13 Absolutely NOT....It's a Damned if you do, Damned if you don't

kind of thing! These drugs by there very nature cause tolerance and can lead to addiction..don't let anyone ever try to convince you that you are a Junkie if you lagitemitly take them for pain!

  • @WiseInfant man dont even do this you will bug out
