In the UK, the chances are you're being watched. It has more CCTV cameras per person than almost any other nation on earth. And now the government is planning to cast its intrusive eye over online activity, phone calls and text messages, all under the guise of an anti-terror law. And as RT's Ivor Bennett reports it's the taxpayer who may well pay in more ways than one.

    POLICE STATE UK

Looks to me like my old typewriter is going to have to come out of the loft and have a new lease of life. Or we could start using smoke signals.

1, There is No threat from terrorism. 2, There is No threat from Cyber terrorism, 3, There is No threat from my 85 year old mum or my kids or me. This is total bullshit propaganda to fool the people to believe the governments will keep us all safe.

The people should all stop paying taxes until they get some say on what there tax money gets spent on. I do not recall a referendum asking me if I'd like more invasion of my privacy!! But apparently it's for my own good 'cause it's going to keep me safe from the big bad terrorists. Who's spreading the f**kin' terror? I ask. F**k the NWO!!

The average person, or should i say the lemmings out there in the UK will be foaming at the mouth with words of praise for the government, "The government love us and are keeping us safe".... ehm no, no they're not, they're spying on you, they're just calling it "keeping you safe".

Perhaps the government needs to be taught some lessons, they appear to be stepping on peoples toes a bit to much these days. I know there's enough lamp posts up and down the country, now all we need is the rope.

Just to add they are using technology that can SEE what you are picturing and can HEAR what you are saying in your MIND ,and they can do this from a great distance (1st hand info) welcome to 1984 and "Thought Crime" , Is that what they are using as "Secret Evidence" in UK Courts ( and the US)?...

I what to see the papers the social scientists drew up for the people of Britain seventy odd years ago, the same papers George Orwell looked at that made him write his book 1984!

George Orwell will tell you it's got nothing to do with terrorism, it was planned seventy years ago or more?

9/11 was conveinient for a lot of people. In both the U.K. and the U.S., how many people let out cheers as they watched the second plane hit the tower ?

The thing about the UK, even now, is while we have a gazilion CCTV cameras, the economy is so shite we can't afford half of them to be monitored, and a surprising number are just duds. It's an era of false dystopia. Big Brother would watch, but he can't afford it.

Still, that such laws are even being considered says a lot for our government.
