anna pavlova got the epic smile before her vault

Wow! I had no idea! Good on her for making a comeback after the birth of a child!

Thanks for posting this! I remember apart from Katarina Witt the ice skater who performed to it as well, there was some controversy years ago over a synchronized swim team that wanted to perform to "Schindler's List" (including Nazi salute prior to diving in). It just seems I guess in poor taste for some if anyone in an artistic sport performs to this music as it is based on a film about the Holocaust-but there is freedom of expression in this world too.

Katarina Witt performed to music from "Schindler's List"-in a skating exhibition I think. I didn't know what to make of it because she was dressed in red and Witt said she was portraying the 'little girl in red' who dies in the film (though she apparently survived the holocaust in real life).

yeah, the german girl just didn't fit her music and she definitely shouldn't be doing something from Schindler's List. Bad all around.

There's nothing wrong with her dance; I really like it, because it's smooth and pretty unique. The music is just not exciting enough (and it's from Schindler's List, probably not the best choice for a german gymnast?)
Lack of difficulty, due to the fact that she wasn't to compete on floor until Joeline got injured.

i am german, but i hate the floor routine of the german gymnast..bad music and even worse dancing!sry jenny:)
Im an American, but Im routing for Pavlova. She is my favorite gymnast going into Beijing.

this girl is like, sixteen, give her a break. She had as much responsibility for the holocaust as my irish granny did. Perhaps instead of thinking it poor taste, you could think of it as an acknowledgement of history- a peaceful gesture of a new generation who want to recognise and not repeat history.
