Walter Ralston Martin (September 10, 1928 June 26, 1989), was an American Evangelical minister, author, and Christian apologist who founded the Christian Research Institute in 1960 as a para-church ministry specializing as a clearing-house of information in both general Christian apologetics and in counterculture apologetics.

  • And how do people know Jesus? By reading the bible about it. And who wrote it? Men does. And if this was 2000 years ago, why should we look back and believe in something that men wrote?

  • @dmana3172 According to you, nothing in the past has 100% reality because it is not TODAY'S NEWS. Tomorrow, according to your thinking, today is in question! You also have given yourself a free license to deny God and His word, and suggest that history has no reality nor does Satan, cults, devil worship, infanticide, suicide, abortion etc affect the life of a future civilization! because the conduct passed on is subject to scrutiny since it is not necessarily done today.

  • desire and focus are very powerful when working with the law of attraction. thoughts become things. Calling these people the devil is ignorant!!! since wicca is one of the most beautiful "GOD LIKE" awarenesses one can develope. Balance comes from respecting karma. if youve seen one devil labler, you've seen all the prideful children of god that call themselves "saved."

  • IDIOTS! WHY IS IT ILLEGAL TO PUT PEOPLE TO SLEEP?!

  • It's interesting to see how prejudices have shifted since this was filmed.

Obviously, there are still two groups who disagree with one another, but the general crowd doesn't seem to judge Wicca from a Christian framework anymore. Rather, it judges both religions from a secular understanding of morality (which it wrongly takes to be either intuitive or rationally inescapable).

As a Christian, I feel that I have more in common with the Wiccan than the secular person.

  • I love how the church feels comfortable lighting candles for healing, pray for someone to be healed or for them to find their way, places their hands on someone and bless them to heal them and yet call all these practices 'witchcraft' when done anywhere outside the church.

    Blessings

  • The "evil" connotations of sex before marriage (sex without beyond the control of an authority) relies exclusively on the passages in the Christian doctrine, which Pagans do not accept. The delusion of "morality" regarding sex before marriage relies on the assumption that "God's word is moral". Without those things, sex is just sex and morality is a matter of mutual consent and safety; the way Pagans view it.

  • As far as your questions go regarding Pagan Hand fasting (the original form of Pre-Christian marriage in Europe, which was temporary even back then) the Pagan Clergy are clergy, not babysitters. It is the responsibility of the individuals to make their decisions in marriage. Furthermore, it is not "fornication", since no husband PAYS their wife to have sex with them and sex before marriage is not a biggie in Paganism. Pagans have sex before marriage all of the time, because we're nature-based.

  • "Witches, Sorcerers etc." were in competition with missionaries, and rightfully so since they were capable of genuine Magik that the missionaries could only give lip-service to by pointing to the feats of "prophets" and "apostles" and what-not. That's why they were libeled in the bible (or not really, considering the old witch who comforted King Saul despite what he did to her people). They were a threat to the imperialist goals of these evil-minded and greedy fools.

  • Furthermore, you seem to paint the entire Pagan culture with one brush. The "witches" of Rome are not the same as the Pagan religions of Rome. "Witch", while generally grouped with religion and spirituality in today's world was originally a profession. Just like a carpenter or blacksmith. They specialized in providing assistance and medicine as well as using their Magik to fulfill requests for which they were paid for.

  • You should also study your history and keep your story straight. First "God says no witchcraft" then it's "first witches said 'no Christianity' and then the Christians 'no Witchcraft", well your previous statement didn't get the memo, which, by the way isn't true. Rome persecuted the Christians because of what they perceived as unpatriotic. Not because of their religion. Polytheism has a built-in "diversity clause", which makes inherently tolerant of differences.

  • You are a liar. You couldn't defeat them in debate, so you began to pigeonhole. "In Christianity, it's god who does it, in Wicca it's the Witches themselves who do it" what's the matter, jealous? I think promote self-image is much better than promoting self-abnegation.

  • and the fake ass MOTHER TERESA IS A PIECE OF SHIT TO THAT MONEY HUNGRY CUNT !
