Hi cool, how fast is the stable one moving? Also is the endpoints anchored in any way, I though these passive magnetic bearings is inherrently unstable?

We didn't test for speed. They might be going as fast as 2200 rpm. There are eight magnets on the base, two on the rotor. The magnet on the front of the rotor is just ahead of the ones on the front of the base. The magnet on the rear of the rotor is centered on the rear ones on the base. The rear one holds it up and the front one pushes it against the glass. The only friction is on the glass of the mirror. If the magnets are out of adjustment, they can cause some resistance to the rotation.
