@MCalixte89 It was a symbol of what he felt, a physical expression of the times. A lot of what Jimi did on stage was his way of expressing his feelings on what was going on in his day. It was the 60's.

That and it was f*cking EPIC!!! To this day you can go the Experience Music Project in Seattle and see pieces of this guitar.

the things that pisses me off most about this video is how it messes with the LITTLE details... like how could he be acting like he's on acid if he took it right before he went on stage? he took it so he would be peaking when he went on stage.
