NBC News Reports on Chairman Rangel's Failure to Pay Taxes

http://gopleader.gov An NBC Nightly News report last evening highlighted the mounting ethics problems facing Ways & Means Committee Chairman Charlie Rangel (D-NY) and the increasing pressure on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) after she and all but two House Democrats voted last week to keep him as chairman of the powerful tax-writing committee even though he is under investigation for not paying his taxes. The report says Speaker Nancy Pelosi is sticking with Rangel, but there is some nervousness among House Democrats who worry about how all this may play with the public. All this has Americans asking, what more has to happen before Speaker Pelosi does the right thing?

Rangel disrespected that reporter. Why shouldn't she ask her question? Rangel should have responded "no comment" if he didn't want to answer the question.

If the reporter had not reported assets/income & then didn't pay her taxes, Rangel would be asking her some questions via the IRS! That is how she should have responded.

Rangel is not better than that reporter or anyone else in America, but yet he treats everyone like he is better than everyone.

It is evident that Mr. Rangel is more used to "cooperative treatment" from journalists who's constitutional purpose more closely resembles what the journalists in this story are doing... finding the "truth." I applaud this story on NBC but find it appalling the politicians like Rangel are "surprised" when they're asked tough questions.
