I think what you are reffering to is SWYPE. Just press hold onto the text space and it will pop up an input method. Select SWYPE. For Chaton, if I'm not wrong you can download from Samsung Apps.

1:24 - Function Sweep - Where do we can find it as unable to find it on my Note keypad. Its look different too..

6:54 - App ChatOn - Do we need to download it or it's already in the Note? Can't find it either..
