Part time/retained ??? alot of retained dont appreciate being called part time, in actual fact many retained are as busy as wholetime, being on call 120+ hours a week 52 weeks of the year - individually those Ret Ff's who make the majority of their shouts make more than their wholetime counterparts who work over a 4 watch system...................... were anything but part time .........the Wholetime get peacful nights sleep 5 x nights of the week

Hi, we had a retained station in sedgley, west midlands. The fire service closed it down recently and it had a rapier there with exactly the same siren as this one. They got rid of the rapier though and replaced it with the Sabre just before they closed the station down

your right there are two rapiers both retained at driffield and one of them acctually is the pump that was at sled.

Just got rid of our local Rapier retained station at sledmere near driffield, I know the station at howden well, used to live near by.
I believe there is a Rapier or 2 based at Driffield and Beverly as well I think.
