If you are using WordPress 3.0 or later, you should look elsewhere for installing help. This video is/was good for earlier versions, but it doesn't apply and may cause confusion to those using later versions.

Hello PureProfitToolkit, when i created the database i checked all privileges, so, that was not the problem. I think I am going to go with hostgator , and see what happens. you said they even offer an automatic upgrade to wpmu, right?. thanks for replying.

i forgot to tell you that i did everything, you say in this video. trying to install wmpu in bluehost but it didn't work. there was a database connection problem, that was the error i got, and they couldn't help me they said that they do not support wpmu, and that i need to contact wordpress support or something like that. i just wanted to let you know. :-)

Hello! this is a great video. I learned something new (ftp), thanks. my question is: does hostgator really support wpmu? i am with bluehost and they do not offer any upgrade or anything.they even told me that hey don't recommens installing that. i would like to try hostgator, but i want to be sure that i am not going to have the same problem.please reply asap. thanks. like i said great video.
HostGator doesn't support WPMU directly, but they do often answer questions that most other hosting comanies won't even try to look into.

Hi jar8no1, if WPMU says there was a database connection problem, it's usually because your username doesn't have permissions to the database you're trying to use. Try adding full privileges for that user using the DB tools in cPanel and see if that helps.
