I've seen Morse over 50 x's - I was at this show as well - he really is amazing - not just playing but his composition. He's the only guitarist that after I see him I just can't pick up my guitar for a few days . . . he's also a genuinely nice guy - I remember he thanked the opening act that night - steve(?) the comedian. The best show was at My Fathers Place in Roselyn, NY - Steve Howe came out and they played Jeff Beck's Freeway Jam & Blue Wind.

I wonder what the hell Dave LaRue is saying to himself. . .

Any fool that thinks he can cut heads with Steve needs to get that ass whippin.

Except this is Van not Rod!

@Acrylicdrums Morgenstein is not underrated by anyone. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about...

The bend at 14 second hurt my head with my speakers on 50.. The crowds head must have exploded in orgasm!

He thinks in a classical way, in figurations-as-textures. But he rocks out too and he picks and grins. You can't beat it, because he's so so slick and clever and juicy. One of a kind music.

This is so goooooood! They were on. One of my fave Dregs tunes.
How did he write this stuff? It's so clever. So fun.

DAMN!!! That country boy is good-lookin'
Steve Morse reminds all what supreme talent and hard work sounds like. There is no more dedicated guitarist out there. The guy keeps getting better and better. The reason? He cares! He has natural ability! He practices! Except for a brief hiatus to cut hay and work as a commercial pilot, he's been playing consistently since he was 14. Most amazing: He's a lefty and plays right-handed! Uses his dominant hand on the fretboard and his "weak" hand to pick/strum/finger. Try it and see how hard it is.

Great observations & full of truth...I don't imagine booze, drugs & women have ever been a burden in Steve's rise to one of the world's greatest guitarist's either..Pure dedication!!
