@Markkreyes personally, thats what i loved about the slower, more melancholy version. Sure thats not necessarily their style, but with the album version, they proved (at least they did to me) that they could pull of the slower more, i guess somber, songs.
It proved their versatility basically, where as this version feels blended with the rest of their faster songs. It doesn't give it that umph to stand out like the song deserves. I mean, it is an amazing song after all.

i like the other version better to be honest
the way they slowed it down and added the backup vocals give it a different Mood that fits what the song is saying
