  • Very very nice playing. As others have said, the minor "blips" do not hide the fact that you play very musically. Would love to know who your teacher is and what your future plans are.

  • @saf22art Hi

    Thank you for nice comment.

My teacher the last 5 years has been Arnulf Naur Nilsen (Co–Principal trumpet in the Oslo Philharmonic orchestra) For the last 6 months my teacher has been Stian Eilertsen (Principal trumpet in the Oslo Philharmonic orchestra).

I like to be proffesional one day

  • @olehbj Best of luck to you. I played (and taught) trumpet professionally for many years in the US (Boston area), studied with Ed Tarr and met Bo Nilsen (principal w/Malmoe? orchestra) several years ago in Passau, where the Tarr ensemble was playing. I wonder if he's any relation to your teacher of the same name.

I hope you'll view my recently posted video about trumpeter Edna White. She recorded The Debutante in 1920 for Edison records. You can find it by searching Edna White CD video.

  • @saf22art Bo Nilsen from Malmo is not related to my teacher, but they knew each other. I have been several times in US and had the pleasure to play for David Baldwin (the professor of trumpet at the University of Minnesota School of Music). I have also had lessons with Dennis Noday (The former Maynard Ferguson and Stan Kenton trumpet player).Nice recording from the early days by Edna White.

  • Courageous effort - don't worry about the little slips, you'll become more relaxed the more experience you get - keep it up! Bravo!

  • @amigomatt thanks for the nice comment

  • He slured the 16th notes in the beginning.

  • This is the solo piece I have to play for my all-state audition.

  • Nice job :) Really cool song! Do you know where I ca find the sheet music for this?

  • very nice job, i know how hard it is to get the high d right before the last reprise of the chorus and then to have something left for the c at the end. fantastic sound
