Didn't realize so many videos already existed of these cubs! Use this to compare how they have grown. Nice to see the mother get involved in the play in this one. Cubs were born 7/24 and 25, before and after midnight. This video was taken 10/24, so 3 months old. A zoo volunteer said they weighed approx 2 lbs at birth, and at time of video, averaged 35 lbs. The female cub is a little darker in the face than her two brothers.

The information at the end of the video was obtained from the Zoo's website. http://www.milwaukeezoo.org/ "The Milwaukee County Zoo is excited to announce details of the birth of three African lion cubs. The public can now see the cubs on a special video screen showing in the Florence Mila Borchert Family Big Cat Country. This will mark the first time the Zoo has exhibited lion cubs since 1974.

The three cubs were born on July 24 and 25 to mother, Sanura, and father, Themba. It is the first offspring for Sanura and Themba, both of whom are 8 years old.

The lion cubs, two males and one female, received their second round of vaccinations and exams on September 20th, at approximately 2 months of age. All of the cubs are in good health, and weighed in at 20.1 and 18.6 pounds for the males and 16.1 pounds for the female.

We're happy to announce the lion cubs made their public debut, to delight of our visitors, on Tuesday, October 4th.

Visit the cubs, who will now be on indoor exhibit between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. As they become more accustomed to their surroundings, they will be on exhibit for longer periods of time. We invite you to welcome our new residents!"

"A Winter Tale" by Bobby Long was chosen simply because I like the song.
