Team 4: Lords of Might and Magic
Rail Gun

A rail gun launcher and power system have been developed to accelerate 10g projectiles to over 100 m/s. Twenty-one capacitors providing approximate 16 kJ will discharge between parallel rails of length 25 cm. Initially the projectile will be accelerated by a pulsed compressed gas discharge in a 25 cm non-conducting portion of the launcher.
