I was on this tour a great record of the event, well done.
At Lendava we went up to the buffers I don't think this line continued further.
-
Yes, the was connection. Or it's better to say: there used to be. The line goes towards Hungary to Rédics and Zalaegerszeg. Hungarian Railways operate the line from Zalaegerszeg (main city of Zala country) to Rédics, the Slovenian border. After 1920 (when the Monarchy split into independent nations) a 3 km line has been abandoned between Rédics and Lendava. Now, only these few kilometres block the line.

There must be a number of 'lost rail connections' around Europe, due to changing political boundaries. Fascinating. Thanks

Hi,
I am not sure, maybe in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy there was some connection elsewhere, but I don't know.

As I am English I can make such observations. By the 'End of the Line', did it used to go further? If so where?
-
The English - they get everywhere.

I think the opening shot of the 363 at Ljubljana and in the rain at Hodos are real crackers.

Excellent! The 644's (and 664's) are some of my favourite SZ locos. Great sound and vision. 5*

There one running at the Nova Gorica /Jesenice line using for wood transport, and one running through Bohinj tunnel at Bohinjska Bistrica whit a tunnel shuttle.
Hi,
Sure, they are in service.
Probably the best spot would be Novo Mesto, there should always be one in the depot.
Greetings,
Roni
