WWF's Pandamonium project, in collaboration with Artwise Curators, invited top British artists and designers to create innovative and memorable artworks out of old panda collection boxes - helping spread WWFs message that the worlds rapidly changing climate affects people, wildlife and the natural world.
In Tom Dixon's piece, titled 'Zinc Pander', the artist turns a plastic object into semi-precious metal. Dixon says: This very literal transformation is a metaphor for how these endangered species are becoming more and more precious to us....
"I was keen to be involved in this project as its always hard to know how to help in a simple and practical way, and this allowed us to support WWF through our existing expertise."
