xr6 turbo gets smoked by ef xr6 (modded)

EF futura/xr6 5sp vs a mates ba xr6 turbo (stock) i let the xr6t call the launch and passed him from behind by about 30kph, was going about 180 when passing camera. the EF has 150rwkw on hallams dyno with 4100N tractive effort. and 165rwkw on another. mods include ported head, 977b cam, j3, jmm extractors, exhaust, 3.45 diff. it was quite a bit quicker than xr6t, we had another race with better footage from chase car.. will post soon.. the guys face was priceless haha xr6 xr8 ea eb ed ef el au ba bf f6 tyhoon. burnout drag, commodore falcon, gts holden turbo supercharger nissan skyline gtr supra vl vr vs vp vt xr6 turbo

Nice work, the BA XR6T was good for mid 14's down the 1/4 mile and i have seen worked naturally aspirated Inline 6 falcons pull similar times so i believe you when you say you beat him. The BA XR6T was good, but the BF and FG is a whole other ballgame. Stock BF2 turbo's were getting 13.7's down the 1/4, and stock FG Turbo's are getting high 12's (with the ZF6 transmission). $1000 on the BA and it is bye-bye EF, BUT credit where it is due, be proud of your car mate you have done really well.

thanks mate. iv had the chance of going at a bf xr6t, it was a stocker auto and got me off the line by half a car (at lights) by the end of first i was reeling him in and pulled upeven with him by 100 at rev limiter in 2nd but it was a 60zone so yeah. he had 2 extra people with him but id say from a roll id pull away. the same night had another BA, the difference between ba and bf is huge! gearing is everything.. i am realistic and know any spent on the t and i lose but my car owes me 7k

ps. grechies street ea ran 13.7 in with 165rwkw and 470nm, he played with it and got 176rwkw and 577nm but didnt make it to the track b4 turboing it. and i work with a 13.8 n/a ef auto (police car) (promoting speed off the streets) and jim mock ran 13.1 in an eb. so theyre capable if built right.. glad u arent like all the non believers haha, anyway cheers and hope u enjoyed!

@onthebrynk youve obviously never been in nor driven a decent modded and manual e series XR?i have and they would scare the pants off a stock BA XR6T,there awesome fun for a mid 90's car they hold their own big time

All factory tuned cars are crap, as he said the xr6t is stock as in still has the restrictive exhaust, crap intake, shit tune etc etc

@onthebrynk we raced again. i offered to go from a roll but he didnt want to for some reason. so we went again. in first i pulled a carlength at least then missed second. he matched my acceleration for a sec then i hit the rev limiter at top of 2nd and he held with me, for a second or 2. towards the middle of 3rd i pulled and 4th i was leaving him. we went to about 200 the and iwas about 3 cars ahead even tho i messed it. hav a vid, will post, iv spent alot of time getting my car right mate

@onthebrynk actually mate, they do, i made 165rwkw with 500nm on another dyno in same tune. now a stock ba xr6t made 170rwkw which has 450nm (at the fly) on the same dyno ( wagga wagga) the xr6t is 1700kg while im around 1550. both had 5sp man with 3.45 lsd diff. as we lined up i said , u go and ill try and keep up. so we left. i spun a tad then as he pulled half a car. then i just lauched past. maybe he dropped of boost?? but he was along way behind. most of the distance came from the 0-100
