Afghanistan veteran Tyler Einarson is among thousands of veterans who will benefit from a class action lawsuit filed by the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP). The lawsuit sought to address a violation of the law by the military, which discharged thousands of veterans with PTSD without the benefits to which they were entitled to. Following an order issued by the judge overseeing Sabo v. United States, legal notices are being mailed this week to more than 4,300 veterans who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom and were diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The veterans have until July 24, 2010 to opt-in to the lawsuit. More information is available at www.ptsdlawsuit.com.
This "Culture of Denial`` further harms defenseless vulnerable injured soldiers;
When injured and denied medical care, secondary traumatization becomes another injury;
This is ridiculous and further harms the injured and disabled who are made to fight for benefits they should have received without discrimination;
This must stop ASAP, injured people need help without having to fight for benefits;
