Experimental concert designed by Merlijn Twaalfhoven.
The audience's first stop was a piano recital given by Tomoko Mukaiyama. Contrasting musical compositions overlapped suddenly; video and soundscapes became integrated in the music. Mysterious technical resources sometimes had a subtle, magical effect on the sound.
Afterwards, the audience was split up and people were invited to sit opposite a stranger at the dinner table. During a three-course meal, new friendships were formed according to the various instructions that had been provided for conversation.
On some of the locations, men and women were separated and prepared for a special role later in the evening. At night, the evening included a collage of musical performances, film and dance, and of course, hairdressers, massage and make-up. Local students and brass bands suddenly began to play along with the DJ, and at the end of the evening the audience joined in singing in a piece where all parts of the performance came together.
