If you like hanging out in places like this for hours on end, maybe you could get a job with the railroad!

  • Dang. That looks like the area betwen Wendover & Salt Lake where the tracks go across the Salt Flatts for like ever. Extreamly desolate spot. If that is the area between Wendover & Salt Lake then I have driven right through there on high way 80 & I have ridden Amtrak's California Zephyr right through there as well.

  • This is the siding at Parran, Nevada - 64 miles east of Sparks, 32 miles west of Lovelock. U.S. Highway 95 parallels the track here.

  • Damn, its my life long dream to work with the railroad, but I've just graduated from High School and I can't find any railroad work here in Dallas. :( Makes me really sad, especially when I see a train rolling down the track

  • ah, ok. Now I know where that is at. I have an engineer friend who works the Zephyr between Reno & Winnemucca right through there. Almost looks like that spot by the Salt Flatts. Now I know where this was shot at. I have shot numerious vids at that High way 95/Ocala crossing. If you search youtube for "west ocala nevada" you can see some vids that I have shot at that crossing. Wonder if I have ever shot any other vids of trains that you were working.
