The breathtaking icy splendor of Antarctica is the setting for this unique encounter with some of the world's most delightful creatures.
"Penguins for Change" was filmed in Antarctica on the day of the 2008 U.S. presidential election, as the news of results reverberated across continents. At the bottom of the world, the reaction of thousands of penguins to the promise of change is captured on film. A lighthearted, funny, whimsical look at election day in Antarctica, "Penguins for Change" also speaks to the impact global warming may have on this exquisitely beautiful land and its spirited inhabitants.
The film won two awards from the International Wildlife Film Festival and was screened in Sarasota at Through Women's Eyes International Film Festival.
Produced, directed and filmed by Diane Mason. Music by Darryl Saffer.
