WHEEL BUG! Learn beauty in Bugs

Wheel Bug upclose and personal at times on my hand though you should not try without detail study. Watching this bug makes me think as if the wheel goes is rounded going inside the body. Is it ? These play their role in our ecosystem. They bite like bee or wasp or admire at a distance please. Botanical name of this species is Arilus cristatus. This was a shocking video for me, the final scene that I was able to capture after hours of waiting and waiting (which happens specially for nature videos where animals or pets don't want to do what they want you to do). When I recorded at home then left him in the wild, I was worried i would never find him or her (but I would like to call it just it!) I was lucky.

When I was twelve I saw this insect in my yard. I was so naive at the time and didn't even know its species, but I was also so fascinated that I let it crawl right into my hand. It was very chill and stayed there in my palm for awhile. After a few moments, I put my hand back onto the ground and let it go its merry way. Only a few months ago did I actually identify it as a Wheel Bug. I am SO thankful that the Wheel Bug I handled was docile, lol.
