  • Thats why EDUCATION, SUPERVISION and a HELMET are so IMPORTANT. I own an ATV and I NEVER let my daughter ride it WITHOUT ME or a HELMET ON.. NO EXCEPTIONS!! They are dangerous and heavy so take it slow learn what your riding. ASK your parents to teach ( they should have done in the first place before they aloud you to have one or ride one.) you. If your unsure about being on one just say NO. Nothing good will come out of it..Your not a cat..ONE LIFE....

  • Too bad the parents who owned the ATV didn't feel like you about EDUCATION AND SUPERVISION. They allowed their 13 y/o son to drive it around, unsupervised, off their property, like a bicycle. Sara had no idea what an ATV was, she thought it looked like fun. If she knew the dangers she would have never gotten on. Unfortunatly Sara had to suffer because of his parents irresponsibility. PARENTS, AN ATV IS NOT A TOY AND SHOULD BE TREATED WITH RESPECT!!

  • I am so sorry for your loss. My boyfriend and I love to ride and we both have young children who think they are great. We decided to show them this video to let them know how serious safety is. My oldest son was very affected by this video and i thank you for that. But also he was very affected by the music could you please tell me who it is? We have lost alot of loved ones and this song made he and I think of them. Again my deepest sympathy.

  • The name of the song is "the day you slipped away" by Avril Lavigne. It's such a powerful song. Thank you for your comment...

  • sorry for your loss... but i have a question... how cna u lose control when its your first time i was 8 when my friend let me ride his 450[was his dads but he let us ride unsupervised and i did fine] dont want to sound like an jerk but just wondering..

  • she was driving it on a narrow PAVED road, with someone on the back.she never drove one or even knew what one was. she didnt know the power of the machine.you are very lucky you are still here to tell your story and so is the dad who let you drive it unsupervised

  • This was a very powerfull and moving video. Thank you for sharing. I am sorry for your loss and I would like to say thank you for spreading the word about safety and ATVs. It is good to see that is the way you went (safety) and not trying to ban ATV use as there are alot of people out there who would do the opposite. Keep up the awareness and god bless. I have forwarded this video to some friends who let their kids ride unsupervised all the time.

  • My Sympath for your loss. I do hope everyone can learn the dangers of parents letting their children loose on an ATV. I would hope that everyone who has been around ATV's can wisen up. It would be horrible to have another child die because of poor paretnal supervision.

  • I want to let you know that your video is being seen by more than just a casual viewer on YouTube. My husband, an avid ATVer and outdoorsman, teaches DNR ATV safety courses in Wisconsin and found your video while surfing the web one night. He has since had it OK'd to be viewed as an intro to his yearly safety course and it has influenced many parents to sign up to take the course with their child. Thank you for taking the time to make and share this with all. Sorry for your loss.

  • Very powerful video you have posted here. My heart goes out to you in this awful incident.

I am a Canada Safety council Instructor for ATVs and I will present this video at our ATV classes.

    You have made a difference.

    Best regards
