* Description :
Rapid advancements in technological changes require engineering education institutions to respond flexibly and quickly to such changes. The challenges faced by engineering education institutions range from updating curriculum to keep pace with the demands of the market, to working with the industry to promote industry-academia cooperation. What really is needed is effective strategies to strengthen the capacity of individuals who can readily adapt to technological transformations through creative thinking.
Cooperation between industry and academia is one response strategy that engineering schools are considering. Both the industry and education institutions stand to gain significantly from the establishment and maintenance of a stable industry-academia cooperation system. Through extensive cooperation between the industry and academia, the problem of job-skills mismatch can be greatly reduced.
