Running [YunaxVincent]

A day late, and a penny short, but I think the wait was worth it.

BACKSTORY:
Basically, Yuna went to the Senate, and they told her about this man who has lived for an extremely long time. (In this story, FFVII came before FFX.) They don't much about him except that he visits the graves of his old comrades a lot, and that he speaks of sins no one else can remember. She is asked to go find this man, and to release his soul from that which ties him to this world. She accepts the mission.

STORY:
Yuna reports to the various grave sites the target is known to visit until finally she finds him at the Forgotten City. Standing at the shore of the lake Aerith was laid to rest in, Vincent honors the fallen. When Yuna approaches, he asks if she was sent to kill him. She denies it, says that she isn't there to hurt him, just to help.

Vincent looks at her and asks, "Why not?" This surprises Yuna. When she doesn't respond, he figures she probably doesn't have the talent to "send" him anyways. Understanding that he isn't going to fight, and frustrated that he doesn't think she can do it, she heads to the lake.

A few steps later and the sending begins. Vincent watches patiently as Yuna nears the end of her dance but nothing happens. Instead, foreign thoughts and memories hit her, and the hands of a woman appear to give her the strength she'll need to send him.

Yuna feels like the woman is important, and familiar, but can't think straight after her sending failed. Overcome with the memories that attacked her, she falls into the water and cries, "I can't...I just can't."

A few days pass and Yuna tracks Vincent down to Lucrecia's cave. She waits outside the cave and when Vincent comes out, she asks if it would be okay for her to see. Vincent guides her back into the cave, and explains about the situation between Lucrecia and himself. The story burdens her with greif. She knows then that it was the woman in the Crystal who gave her the power and the memories at the lake.

"I come here often," Vincent says and by his tone, Yuna can see that Vincent has learned to adjust to a life in which his loved ones die without him.

"I'm sorry for putting you through all this," she says hesitantly.

He looks at her with a small smile. "I'm the one...who should apologize." Vincent knows now that Yuna can send him, can release his soul from this plane. He's overjoyed to have a chance to move on, but pities Yuna because he knows she'll be upset about having to send him, after everything that's happened to him in his life.

Yuna walks over to the water in front of Lucrecia's Crystal and begins the sending anew. However, instead of sending Vincent, she uses the power that Lucrecia gave her at the Forgotten City, and switches places with Lucrecia.

Vincent realizes that something is wrong too late. Lucrecia steps out of the Crystal, confused and sad that Yuna did not help Vincent in the way she had planned.

Days pass, and Vincent visits the cave for a new reason, and Lucrecia stays beside him all the while. Finally, he speaks about what happened.

"All I did was watch...I didn't even try to stop her. That was my sin. And this? This is my punishment."

He continues to visit Yuna to this day.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

So yeah, this is for my one year mark as an AMV-maker. October 9th, 2007 was the day I created the Spazzlings account. I figured since Run was so big, I would continue it with Running. This was a lot of fun, and I hope you all enjoy it!

PS: Gah! It just finished rendering. After 3 hours of waiting, I just found out that half of the colors I used throughout the video got ruined, so there are inconsistencies, and some things that I had perfect on my project file didn't render correctly. SADNESS!!! -head desk- Sorry guys! I'd go back, but 3 hours!!! -sigh- I'm kind of depressed now.

If I may, I woult like to throw in my opinion. I have been waching and jujing AMVs for over 6 years now and so I am quite lerned in the way of jujing thir value and the talent of the their maker. So if i may...I love ff7 and ff10, and...in my opinion...this AMV....was...simply....well...­.SPECTACULER=), simply spectaculer indeed! I have rearly seen an AMV of this complexity pulled off so splededly in all my days! ( I have seen many try and fail to create the masterpice you have here). i love it!!
