I rented the RiverCliff cottage in Ojai for 5 days last Christmas. It was perfectly secluded and filled with natural mystery. I hopped from boulder to boulder down the river the day before to see what natural materials were available and formulated a plan overnight. The algae was a last-minute addition, but it turned out great. Note to fellow environmentalists: I didn't deplete the river of algae - I harvested from a number of areas up and down the river, being careful to only take a small amount from each growth. (That said, it takes a sh*tload of algae to make a serpentine root metaphor.)
Hope you enjoy! For the record, I pay all due respect to Andy Goldsworthy for reminding us of the art that exists all around us, but also that Nature always provides the best inspiration.
Post links to your own natural installations - I'd love to see them and I know there are a ton of you out there!
