Great vid - thanks for sharing ...oh.. I forgot to mention that, if I remember my Hogan correctly, he also kept his right thumb glued to the bottom of the right indexfinger in the grip - small detail , I know, but it did wonder for me "zipping" at impact - thanks again and happy golfing !
You read Five Lessons and came away with the idea that Hogan wants the pressure in your left hand to be in the index finger? I'm gonna have to find my copy I guess...I was under the impression Hogan wanted the pressure to come from the middle, ring, and pinky fingers.
How about you don't listen to these guys and you study Hogan. Find a pro. Most teach Hogans type swing. So it wont be hard to "fix" your swing. Or maybe do what Hogan says in the book and try things that do not veer from fundamentals, but are just adjustments in small.
your swing plane is too flat .Your hip turn is good but get your arms higher up onto the plane. It's in "5 lessons",hogan would stand behind a golfer and angle his hand from the ball to the shoulders and check to see if the club was on plane at the top.
I agree whit pcakesxl. Hardy has a great amount of knowledge regarding "the one plane swing" Hardy makes up some of the "misstakes" Mr Hogan wrote in his book like shift your wight to the left side if you don't have 50/50 % of your wight during the swing. I am NOT criticizeing Mr hogan in any way, but there is an easier way to do the one plane swing.
@pcakesxl Hogan says in his book that Jim Hardy understands Hogan's swing better than Hogan himself??? Really.....what book and where? Sounds like complete bullshit.
Nice swing. Check out Jim Hardy's videos. I think Jim Hardy understood Hogan's swing better than Hogan did or at least what Hogan says in his book. I like how you are trying to swing left. Hardy is really big on that. Instead of feeling , on the downswing, like you are throwing a ball side arm(like 5 fundementals says), feel like you are throwing overhand. This will help you hit that little fade/straight shot.

Your swing is wrong. Your shoulders dont clearn the bottom of your chin as hogan does.
